What we did, and what we did not

Every jewelry site says it tested its picks. We have not handled these pieces, and we say so. What we did instead: read the US FTC Jewelry Guides for what each material term legally requires, compiled the published specifications from the listings, worked out what a stated plating thickness means in months of daily wear against a wear model we publish, and cited every source so you can check us.

That is genuinely useful and it is genuinely what we do. It is also why we will never tell you how a chain “felt” after three months - we do not know, and neither does anyone else writing these pages at this scale.
